The color version of 2074 was used for an advertisement; the monochrome
version was used for the CD itself. The advertisement received essentially no exposure, so it's almost as though
the illustration is appearing here in print for the first time. The character's hair has some decorative elements
to it, unlike the way I normally draw. I occasionally wonder if I should have taken this approach further, but
given that it's not my forte , it's probably best that I stopped where I did. The pink tone in her hair is also
very unusual for me. I deliberately didn't draw her feet and hands in clearly-to keep a light, airy look to the
image, not because I was trying to make her look like a Japanese-style ghost! |
